Forest Holme will be able to tap into funding at the Dolphin Centre
Kind hearted shoppers will be able to donate to Poole-based Forest Holme Hospice at a contactless donation box.
The Dolphin Shopping Centre is enabling Forest Holme Hospice to boost is finances, which have been severely impacted during the pandemic.
The Poole shopping centre, which chose Forest Holme as one of its Charity of the Year partners in 2020, has given the hospice space for a contactless Tap To Donate podium.
Like many other charities, the hospice saw fundraising revenue disappear overnight in 2020 with a predicted deficit of at least £350,000 forecast.
Kirsty Perks, fundraiser at Forest Holme, said, “We can’t thank the Dolphin Centre enough for all of their support this year. The coronavirus pandemic has affected a number of our fundraising initiatives and we have had to think of new ways of raising money to support our work helping to enhance the lives of adults from across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck who are facing a life limiting or terminal illness.”
