Witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to Dorset police, or anyone with CCTV footage, are urged to come forward.
A motorcyclist has died and four people have been arrested following a road traffic collision in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at approximately 2am on Wednesday 9 April of the collision involving a black Range Rover and a motorbike in Moore Avenue.
It was reported that the Range Rover failed to stop at the scene of the collision.
Very sadly, the motorcyclist, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Following fast-paced enquiries, two boys, both aged 17, and a 36-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 35-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. All are from Bournemouth.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Detective Inspector Mark Jenkins, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time.
“Detectives have already carried out a number of lines of enquiry in relation to the collision and are now undertaking an investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage, or residents in the area with relevant CCTV or doorbell footage, to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of the vehicle involved prior to the incident.”
