Fracas outside school in Bournemouth
An altercation between two pupils of Oak Academy School took place on 19 April and Dorset police are seeking witnesses.
An altercation between two pupils of Oak Academy School led to a man and a child being injured.
Dorset Police received a report of the assault that occurred at around 3pm on Friday 19 April outside the school in Duck Lane.
Officers attended and it was reported that during an altercation between the pupils, a man intervened before he was hit from behind and then kicked repeatedly whilst on the ground by another man.
The victim – a man in his 40s – and a 12-year-old child attended hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
Police constable Emily Dilke, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and establish the full circumstances of how it happened.
“We know that it occurred during a busy time of the day with many members of the public present, and we are keen for anyone who witnessed what happened who hasn’t already spoken to police to please come forward.”
