2016 is a year of celebrations for the team at Francesco Group South, following a whirlwind six months and a record-breaking awards season.
After a successful start to the year, Francesco Group South, formerly known as Scissors, rebranded following a migration with sister company in the north Francesco Group, after being acquired by the group over 10 years ago.
The rebrand saw the southern salons take on the Francesco Group name and values, something that has been in the plans for the past few years.
Next it was time to celebrate with the Francesco Group Annual Awards, held within the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, where all 40 Francesco Group salons joined together for the announcement of their annual Business and Creative Award winners.
MDs of Francesco Group, Ben Dellicompagni and Yogi Parmar took to the stage in what was to be a nerve wracking wait for the finalists. First up it was the announcement of this year’s winners of the business categories with Francesco Group South taking home a total of four business awards, followed by six creative awards.
A week after arriving home from the record-breaking evening, the salons were competing once again, with Director of Hairdressing Mia Dellicompagni and colleague Amy Sultan finalising within the Wales and South West category for the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards, also dubbed ‘The Oscars’ of the hairdressing industry. Mia and Amy are two of only six finalists within this region, and within their local area to reach the finals of this year’s awards, which are announced in November. Director of Hairdressing Mia said, “The team is beyond excited and it is great for us to be finalists with some of the very best salons in the United Kingdom, it is a real honour. We are in love with our pictures that represent the creative and colouring work that we do, day in and day out with our amazing clients.”
The Francesco Group South team has even more reason to celebrate. Amy Sultan from Francesco Group Ringwood and Naomi Francis from Francesco Group Ferndown have both made it through to the grand final of this year’s Wella Professionals Trend Vision Awards, which will be held on 10 October in London.
