The Purbeck Marathon is forging ahead with a number of new initiatives for 2014 and beyond.
Safety is a crucial part of any distance race and is especially important at the Purbeck Marathon due the nature and remoteness of much of the course.
The Purbeck Marathon is setting up a First Aid course for those who are interested in learning new skills that can be employed for the event and elsewhere.
The First Aid at Work course will take place at Durlston Country Park on 1 September 2014. It is free for anyone who commits to helping with First Aid cover for the Purbeck Marathon on 14 September.
Other organisations are welcome to register individuals for the course with the fee dependent on how many sign up for the training. There is a limited number of places available.
