Freephone advice number for Citizens Advice Dorset
If you need to call the Citizens Advice Dorset helpline it will no longer cost you to do so as a new freephone adviceline number - 0800 144 8848 - is now available.
Helen Goldsack, chief officer for East Dorset and Purbeck Citizens Advice said, “This is a real benefit for Dorset residents, as it allows everyone access to advice without having the added worry of call charges.
“It’s come at a time when the demand on our services is ever increasing. We are seeing people coming to us with a wide range of problems including employment, benefit and relationship issues and with the current uncertainties surrounding additional restrictions and lockdown.”
Since the start of lockdown on 23 March, Citizens Advice across Dorset has helped more than 7,000 people with over 25,000 issues, with benefit and employment related advice being top of the list.
Advice can also be accessed online by visiting www.citizenadvice.org.uk.
Dorset offices have limited face-to-face appointments available.
East Dorset Citizens Advice is open for drops-ins at their office in Hanham Road, Wimborne on Mondays and Tuesdays 10am-12noon and at the outreach centre at Heatherlands on Thursdays 9.30am-2pm.
