Chas Hodges from Chas and Dave will be performing in The Real Ale Tent at 10.30pm on Saturday, and this is a free performance for all GDSF visitors. Chas says: “I am really looking forward to returning to the Great Dorset Steam Fair after nine years since my last visit. It’s always great fun.”
The Wurzels will, of course, be gracing the Outdoor Concert Stage on Thursday evening to do a ‘proper job’ of entertaining the masses. They are a popular favourite at the Great Dorset Steam Fair and never fail to get the 3,000 strong audience dancing. Drew Stansell from The Specials will also be performing with El Pussycats. The 7 piece ‘old school, authentic, ska, swing, blue beat’ outfit will bring their famous Jamaican dance hall style of the 50s to the Outdoor Concert Stage on Friday evening.
Other acts performing on the Outdoor Concert Stage include ZU2, Coldplace, The Skimmity Hitchers, The Munich Bierkeller Men, Plonkers Agricultural Orchestra, Rudie and the Revolvers, Ultimate Madness, Jack Marshall, Saints Of Sin, Drew Allen, Waiting For Susan, The Secret Police and Counterfeit Quo.
Five of the concert stages have a full line up of music for all Steam Fair visitors throughout each day of the event. The Outdoor Concert Stage has capacity for 3,000 people and will feature ticket only performances each night and free live music on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
