Funding available for Dorset organisations
The Neighbourhood Fund, The DCF Bursary Scheme & STEM Bursary and the South West Enterprise Fund are providing funding.
Dorset Community Foundation (DCF) is offering opportunities for organisations to receive funding.
The Neighbourhood Fund offers grants of up to £5,000 to support grassroots community groups delivering local services/activities that address a broad range of social issues. Applications, which should be in by 13 January, are welcomed from groups supporting diverse communities including communities who may be facing discrimination.
In addition to the above broad objectives of the fund, there are two particular areas of interest: services that support older people to lead more active, healthy and independent lives and services that support people experiencing mental health issues.
The DCF Bursary Scheme & STEM Bursary, which also closes on 13 January, offers bursaries to young people age 16-25, where household income is under £30,000, and who are studying vocational courses at specific colleges/sixth forms.
In addition, young people aged 18-30 who need financial support to launch or take next steps in a new business in its first two years, can apply to the South West Enterprise Fund at any time.
Details on all three funds are available from https://www.dorsetcommunityfoundation.org/
