Officers investigating the theft of a vacuum cleaner from Sainsbury’s supermarket on Ringwood Road, Ferndown have released a CCTV image of a picture of the suspect.
The incident took place between 3.45pm and 4.15pm on Tuesday 12 August 2014.
A woman entered the store and bought a vacuum cleaner. She then returned about 30 minutes later and asked for a refund. The staff gave the refund but only realised later that the returned box contained garden waste instead of the vacuum cleaner.
East Dorset Neighbourhood Inspector Simon Perry said: “I am now able to release a CCTV image of the suspect.
“I would urge anyone who recognises the women pictured to contact police in confidence.”
