Professional ‘Dancing on Ice’ skater Vicky Ogden shone a light on Bournemouth when she officially launched the new Gardens of Light Festival at an exclusive preview event on 15 November.
Against the dazzling backdrop of the new innovative lighting installations, the ‘Fire Queen’ took to the fresh ice to entertain invited guests with her dazzling routine at the bigger and better Bournemouth outdoor ice rink. Guests were allowed onto the ice after her stellar performance to attempt some moves of their own.
The Gardens of Light Festival has transformed the Grade II listed Bournemouth Lower Gardens into a winter wonderland with magical interactive lighting experiences, an outdoor ice rink operated by Olympic Gold medallist Robin Cousins’ company, Cousins Entertainment, and a Santa’s Grotto. The winter attractions are now open until 6 January 2014.
For tickets visit www.makeitbournemouth.co.uk/outdoor-ice-rink or call 02920 230 130.
Santa will be in his grotto – to visit and receive a beautifully wrapped gift costs £4.50. The Bournemouth Light Pods and entry into the Gardens of Light is free.
