This year the Stewarts Garden Centre in Christchurch has achieved a record number of merit awards from the South Thames Garden Centre Association.
Stewarts’ retail and marketing director Terry Head says that a total of 18 awards of merit have been announced.
The certificates recognise the professionalism and hard work maintained by the 80 full and part time staff employed at the centre, as they are based on thorough audits conducted by GCA appointed inspectors.
The merits include the categories of Indoor Plants, Garden Care, Bedding and Seasonal Plants and Pots and Ornamentation, and facilities including entrance and exit, customer service points, website and safety. The 300 seat restaurant was also recognised for the high standard.
“I’m delighted that we were also awarded as being highly commended. Our hard-working team were pleased to impress both customers and GCA inspectors as we continue to invest in the enhancement of the centre,” said Terry Head.
