Get your camera ready for Ringwood photo competition
Ringwood Town Council is organising a photography competition from March until May.
Keen photographers are invited to take part in a new photography competition being organised by Ringwood Town Council, with the potential to have their work displayed in the newly renovated Carvers Clubhouse.
Following the clubhouse’s makeover, the town council wishes to display photographs from around the community. The aim of the competition is to encourage photographers to enter and showcase their talents.
The theme of the competition is ‘Ringwood’, whether that is nature, buildings, something abstract or community. The only requirement is that images must be taken in and around Ringwood, within the town council’s borders.
There will be three age categories for entry: five to 11 years, 12 to 18, and 18+.
Six prizes are up for grabs. The winning entries will be printed on canvas and displayed at the clubhouse, and the winners will also receive a photography-related prize.
Entries open from 5 March to 20 May. Judging will take place on 21 May, and the six winners will be unveiled on 29 May at Carvers Clubhouse.
The competition is being run alongside Ringwood Camera Club.
Entries must contain the image as well as the photographer’s name, age and a contact number. Entrants are also welcome to include a backstory alongside their photo, but this isn’t essential.
To enter, email your submission to carversclubhouse@ringwood.gov.uk. Full terms and conditions are available at https://carversclubhouse.co.uk/ringwood-town-council-photography-competition.
