Goodbye to Pippins in Wimborne
Work to demolish Pippins begins on Monday 31 January and will take a couple of months. The future of the site hangs in the balance.
Work to demolish the eyesore that is Pippins in Wimborne is to start on 31 January and is expected to be completed before the end of March.
Accommodation works have been completed on the site and Dorset Council will shortly be undertaking asbestos removal prior to the start of the demolition.
During the demolition, there may be a need to install temporary traffic lights on Hanham Road periodically to permit safe working and access to the site. Dates for such measures will be confirmed in advance.
The demolition and clearance of this site will permit future development to take place. Options for the potential use of the site are currently being assessed, and there will be further consultation with other stakeholders in due course.
