The Regent in Christchurch has just had a new grand piano donated to it by one of its founding members, Janet Townend of Mudeford.
Janet has been a volunteer at the centre since 1982 and is a member of the board of directors.
This is one of the largest single donations ever to made at the Regent by an individual and the Grand Piano is going to be a major asset in allowing the management to attract top class artists to appear on the Regent stage.
The grand piano will make its stage debut at the Regent on Tuesday 21 October 7.30pm for Swinging at the Cotton Club with the Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra and the Jiving Lindy Hoppers.
