Officers in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after criminal damage was caused at a school in the town.
Sometime between 8pm on Wednesday 17 April and 8am on Thursday 18 April, a digger parked at Oakmead Technology College on Duck Lane was hotwired and driven over rugby posts situated on the grounds.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Police Constable Lee Harrison, of Bournemouth police, said: “This was a reckless act which has resulted in damage to sports equipment at the school which will no doubt have a negative impact on its students.
“I would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this incident take place, or may have details about those responsible.
“Anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.”
