Jean Hancock, organiser of the Bournemouth G&S Society carol-singers, hands over cheques totalling £4270 to Neal Williams, the Trust Secretary of Macmillan caring locally
Members of the Bournemouth Gilbert & Sullivan Society went carol singing in December at various functions in Bournemouth and Poole. They do this every year to support Macmillan caring locally, and particularly the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital. Their most recent efforts raised £4270, making a total over the last 20 years in excess of £60,000. The money, which was presented recently, will be used for ongoing refurbishments at the unit.
