‘A Night at the Oscars’ celebrated achievements of staff at Hadland Care Group red carpet style this month (December 2014).
The annual awards ceremony, held at the Village Hotel in Bournemouth, recognised over 430 employees for their contributions to the company over the past year.
Hadland Care Group invited their staff from Tops Day Nurseries, the Aspire Training Team and Reside Care Homes across more than 18 locations across Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire to attend.
A total of 23 awards were presented during the event, with 18 accolades given to individuals for going ‘above and beyond the call of duty.’ Colleagues were invited to nominate their peers in advance to receive this award.
A new award was introduced this year to celebrate the improved use of technology at Tops Day Nurseries, rewarding nurseries, care homes or departments that have successfully implemented and embraced new systems. The first prize was awarded to Tops Parkstone, with Tops Taunton Musgrove coming in second and Tops Charminster third, all for their implementation of the eyLog system which provides increased communication and service to all the families using the nurseries.
Cheryl Hadland, Managing Director of Hadland Care Group, said: “It has been another great year for Hadland Care Group, and this is a direct result of the people working for us. It is important that we recognise individuals who go above and beyond and reward our teams for embracing new technology. All three area managers, Diane, Amy and Laura have also been wonderful in supporting their managers and teams to implement the new system.
“We have been using eyLog to record the development of our children and inform next steps, with a secure tablet in each room to take video, audio and stills. Parents and carers have a login so they can see and be involved with their child’s learning log. It has been a huge success with staff because it reduces paper work so they can spend more time with the children, and we have also received some very positive feedback from parents.”
