Westbourne-based Simone Thomas Salon and Crowning Glory Hair are set to host a charity coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support’s national fundraising campaign: ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
However, not only will they host the event, but all takings the salon make through their services on the day will be donated to the charity while all staff have agreed to donate half of their day’s wages too.
The coffee morning will be a chance for friends and supporters to join Simone and her team for hot coffee, pots of tea and stimulating conversation. Being one of the UK’s leading hair loss specialists, a large majority of Simone’s clientele are cancer sufferers, whilst Simone is also a survivor herself. As such, MacMillan Cancer Support is a charity which holds particular significance to Simone and her salon.
Simone Thomas has said: “We are delighted to be hosting a coffee morning, as part of Macmillan’s ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’. Macmillan Cancer Support is a remarkable charity which is extremely close to my heart. All money from our services on the day will also be donated to Macmillan, so if you if need a haircut or fancy a new style, colour or blow dry, pop in and pamper yourself in the name of charity!”
1 in 3 people will suffer from cancer at some point in their lifetime, whilst over 2.5 million people in the UK are now living with cancer. Through ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, Simone Thomas and thousands of others across the UK are set to raise money to help Macmillan Cancer Support ensure no one faces cancer alone. Macmillan Cancer Support provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care.
The Simone Thomas Salon and Crowning Glory Hair will be holding their coffee morning as part of the nationwide campaign on 25 September from 9am at The Simone Thomas Salon, 54 Poole Road, Westbourne, Dorset BH4 9DZ.
