Halloween special at Wimborne Model Town
Halloweenies are still enjoying a special quiz around the buildings of the charity attraction that has celebrated its 70th anniversary.
Wimborne Model Town’s season draws to a close at the end of half term and the curtain will descend, but until 30 October, Halloweenies can enjoy a special quiz around the miniature buildings.
Many families have already taken advantage of the mild weather over the holiday week to experience the vintage model world of Wimborne in the 1950s and its additional attractions, which include Crazy Golf and the new Model of the Model Town.
Greg Hoar, spokesman at the charity attraction said: “It’s been a terrific season with attendance levels pushed upwards with the development of our new 1/100 scale mini diorama. The volunteer force has done a great job to ensure our visitors have had an enjoyable time.”
Extra help is always needed over the winter months to refurbish the miniature shops and windows. Nick Clark, the manager, has more details on 01202 881924.
Meanwhile, for another few days, Winnie the Witch needs help finding her magic equipment that has got lost in the Model Town. Join in the hunt from 10am. The attraction closes for the season on 30 October at 5pm.
