There is a burst water main on Ham Lane, between Old Ham Lane and Stapehill Road, Wimborne. There are no properties affected in terms of their water supply.
Bournemouth Water’s Network Maintenance team has been liaising with the local highway authority to organise the appropriate temporary traffic management to allow the repair. The temporary traffic management will mean the closure of Ham Lane overnight and the repair is likely to take up to two days.
This work is being planned with the Dorset Highways department. For safety, a temporary road closure is necessary and a diversionary route will be in place.
Access for residents will be maintained at all times. Access for Hampreston C of E First School will be possible via Ferndown/Longham, but not from the Canford Bottom roundabout.
Bournemouth Water apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause. The road should be reopened on the morning of 6 January.
