Hamworthy nursery rewarded for entertaining care home residents
Care South has donated £500 to Muddy Boots Nursery in recognition of their support for Dorset House Care Home.
A children’s nursery in Hamworthy has been rewarded for the fun and entertainment they bring to the residents of Dorset House care home.
Muddy Boots Nursery has received a £500 donation from Care South’s Chairman’s 2020 Fund.
Children from the day nursery regularly visit the care home on Coles Avenue in Poole to sit and read with the residents, play games using a parachute, participate in crafts, gardening and other seasonal activities.
Making the presentation Simon Bird, Care South’s chief executive said: “I have seen first-hand the big difference that the children make to the lives of our residents. As soon as the kids walk into the room, our residents’ faces light up with delight and they love spending time with the children.”
Stacey Hunt, manager of Muddy Boots Nursery said: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this generous donation of £500 from Care South. The money which will go towards craft materials and special trips out for the children, who always look forward to their visits to see the Dorset House care home residents.”
