Have your say on BCP Council taxi services
As several changes are proposed in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, the council is keen to get people’s views on a draft policy.

People who use taxis either frequently or now and then in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area are being given the opportunity to put forward their views on services.
BCP Council’s current hackney carriage and private hire driver policy is up for renewal and a number of changes have been proposed to ensure the Council is up to date with relevant legislation and practices.
External stakeholders have been consulted on the changes, with taxi trade representatives invited to workshops to create this draft policy.
Cllr Kieron Wilson, portfolio holder for Housing and Regulatory Services, said: “This public consultation is about hearing what residents have to say about a service that is used by so many people in our communities.
“The changes that are being proposed would bring a unified policy across our three towns and we are keen to hear from residents and stakeholders as part of this consultation because, ultimately, their feedback will inform the next stages of the process.”
The public consultation closes at 11.59pm on April 28; it can be completed online at haveyoursay.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/taxi-policy-consultation, and paper copies of the consultation documents can be collected at any of BCP’s libraries.
