Have your say on Victoria Park Road traffic trial
BCP Council would like feedback on a trialled scheme which aims to reduce traffic in Victoria Park Road.
Residents and businesses are invited to put forward their views on proposals to reduce traffic in Bournemouth’s Victoria Park Road.
Following previous consultation and feedback from the local community, BCP Council is now presenting a range of alternative options to improve the trial low traffic neighbourhood scheme.
The trial scheme at Victoria Park Road was introduced last year, with the aim of creating a quieter, safer, and more pleasant environment for local people to walk and cycle.
The new consultation will run for approximately the next five weeks. During this time, residents are encouraged to carefully consider the proposed options online before completing a survey. Once this consultation is completed, a decision will then be made to either remove or implement the options under a new trial. Residents will then be given further opportunities to share their views before a final decision is made to retain, amend, or remove the trial.
Cllr Mike Greene, portfolio holder for Transport and Sustainability at BCP Council said: “We have carefully considered the results of the previous consultation and with the support of local ward councillors, we’re now proposing a range of options which we think have the potential to improve the trial at Victoria Park Road and create a better environment for all those travelling in the area. We now want everyone to share their thoughts on which options they prefer before any further decision are made.”
