HELLO?! Comedian Dom Joly to perform in Ringwood
Tickets are now on sale to see the star of 2000s prank show Trigger Happy TV at The Barn in Ringwood.
A comedian best known for yelling into a giant mobile phone is to perform a show at The Barn in Ringwood, and tickets are on sale as of today (Friday 30 January).
Comedian Dom Joly was the star of the hidden camera prank show Trigger Happy TV from 2000 to 2003. To celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, he is taking a stage version on a tour around the country.
The tour will begin in September, and Joly will visit Ringwood on Friday 6 November 2026.
Trigger Happy TV was well known for its surreal comedy and practical jokes, including Joly yelling “Hello” into an oversized Nokia phone while in a public location, and actors in animal costumes acting rudely in front of ordinary people.
To celebrate the show, Joly plans to bring his most iconic characters and sketches to the stage. Expect to see fan-favourite moments from the show, including The Giant Snail, The Traffic Warden, The Morris Dancer, The Scout, A Gang of Squirrels, and the iconic Big Mobile Phone.
Joly will also share behind-the-scenes stories and insights into how these moments came to life. But the surprises don’t stop there – this is live theatre, and fans can expect the unexpected.
The comedian said: “I played a handful of shows in autumn that sold out. We were inundated with requests for more shows — so here they are.”
