You can join the rangers at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, near Ringwood on 24 July to help record the many plants and animals that make their home in the 800-acre Park.
Taking place over 12 hours, the bioblitz will add to information from regular surveys of the Park’s butterfly, dragonfly, damselfly and bird populations to provide a snap shot of the wildlife to be found in a day in this popular country park. Expert volunteers will be on hand to help out, and a series of specialist guided walks will also be looking for bumblebees and moths.
Bioblitz events will run between 10.30am and 10.30pm, weather permitting. The full timetable is online at www.moors-valley.co.uk
