Highcliffe Castle launches photography competition
Have a look around you and capture a photo of what you have seen over the past few months that has made you appreciate life.
2020 has been a hugely difficult year, and yet many of us have come to appreciate the little things in life.
Highcliffe Castle has launched its 2021 photography competition in celebration of just this, but don’t waste any time if sending your entry as the deadline is Monday 7 December.
There are four categories – 5-11 years; 12-16 years; 17-25 years; and 26 plus years. For the first time, people will also be able to vote for their favourite image online in the Public Choice Award.
Cllr Mohan Iyengar, portfolio holder for Tourism, Leisure and Culture commented, “This year has been an unsettling one for many of us and we’ve had to adapt and learn to appreciate the small things. Now, more than ever, our fulfilled lives pledge to promote happy, active and healthy lifestyles is brought into focus. This photography competition celebrating what makes us all smile, will be a great reminder for everyone to enjoy the simple things in life over the coming months. I’m looking forward to viewing all the entries next year.”
A range of local companies have donated prizes for the winning entries, with an exhibition of the winning photographs opening at Highcliffe Castle in February 2021 -online if applicable.
