Cliff Top Music Festival, taking place on 7 September, has announced Highcliffe and Walkford Parish Council as its headline sponsor.
The second annual Cliff Top Music Festival in Highcliffe, taking place on 7 September, has announced that Highcliffe and Walkford Parish Council will be the event’s headline sponsor this year.
Cliff Top Music Festival is a celebration of 1970s music and will feature retro dance-offs, vintage fashion contests, and a variety of fun-filled activities for all ages. This year’s headliners are ‘The Sound of the O’Jays.’
The partnership between the Council and the festival aims to position Highcliffe as a premier tourism destination on the south coast.
Cllr Lesley Dedman, chair of the Parish Council committee for planning, said: “We’re thrilled to support the Cliff Top Music Festival.
“This event is more than just a musical celebration; it’s an opportunity to showcase Highcliffe’s vibrant culture and welcoming community to visitors far and wide. Our sponsorship reflects our dedication to enhancing local tourism and fostering community spirit.”
The music festival has also received support from Cllr Andy Martin, portfolio holder for Customer, Communications, and Culture at BCP Council. He said: “The Cliff Top Music Festival is a shining example of how we can use the arts to bring communities together and enhance our local economy.”
Commenting on the announcement, Mandy Polkey, managing director of festival organisers Stir Events CIC, said: “With the invaluable support of the Parish Council and Cllr Andy Martin, this year’s festival is poised to be a landmark event.
“It’s a chance for visitors to experience the unique charm of Highcliffe, from its heritage to its picturesque landscapes. With thanks also to sponsorship from SP Safety Consultancy, More Bus, Pulford Publicity, Bee Spoke, The Oaks and Oak Photography.”
