Highcliffe music festival announces park and ride service
The upcoming Cliff Top Music Festival on 7 September will operate the service to prevent parking issues from occurring.
The Cliff Top Music Festival, taking place this Saturday on Wharncliffe Road in Highcliffe, has announced a park and ride service will be in operation, to prevent parking issues like the one experienced during last year’s event.
The second annual festival is a celebration of 1970s music and will feature an array of tribute bands and local talent. It will take place on 7 September from 11am to 7pm.
The park and ride service will operate from Fawcett’s Field Car Park in New Milton (BH25 6QF), with buses running approximately every half hour. Attendees will be dropped off at the BCP Council Overspill Car Park on Wharncliffe Road, just a short walk from the festival grounds. The service will cost just £1 each way, and children under 12 are free.
Mandy Polkey, managing director of festival organisers Stir Events CIC, said: “Last year, we were thrilled to see an unexpected number of visitors at the festival, which was wonderful but did lead to some parking issues.
“This year, we are fortunate to have received generous sponsorship, allowing us to introduce this Park and Ride service. We are confident it will greatly enhance the overall festival experience.”
For those with accessibility needs, disabled parking will be available on-site. To reserve a disabled parking spot, or to book tickets to the event, visit https://www.highcliffevillage.com/music-festival.
