A new and exciting addition to the Moors Valley Christmas this year, is the chance to meet working huskies, learn about how they are looked after, and even enjoy a thrilling ride on a husky-drawn sled on 12 and 13 December. Minimum age to take part is six years old and children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Christmas countdown begins when the Christmas tree shop opens from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 5 December until 20 December. Parking is free when purchasing a tree.
The Christmas Craft Market will also run daily from 5 to 20 December and features beautiful handmade gifts from Dorset and Hampshire.
Other activities include festive workshops. These range from willow weaving, making wreaths and table decorations, clay decorations and a chocolate workshop.
Anyone who has a festive Christmas jumper tucked away at the back of their wardrobe is invited to give it an airing on Christmas Jumper Sundays. While no prizes will be given, there will be a small surprise gift for anyone modelling their natty knitwear when they visit the Park on 6, 13 and 20 December.
The Forest Forge Theatre Company brings its seasonal offering of Hansel and Gretel to the Visitor Centre on 8 December. Hansel and Gretel must work together to find their way home after becoming lost in the woods. This interactive adventure includes an encounter with a tiny witch and a beautiful house made of sweets! Suitable for all ages, doors open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
Seasons restaurant at Moors Valley is also joining in the festive spirit with a different Christmas special each day with freshly cooked food using locally sourced ingredients.
