Inclusion survey launched by hospitals
If you have had an appointment at University Hospitals Dorset in the past 12 months, you are invited to complete a survey on inclusion.
Patients at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) are being asked for feedback to help the trust understand how inclusive services are to members of the LGBT+ community. It has launched a survey, which all patients who have had appointments in the past 12 months are invited to complete.
The survey has been commissioned by NHS England and some 40 NHS trusts are taking part. The survey will take a couple of minutes to complete and is anonymous. The results of the survey will help trusts gain foundation, bronze, silver or gold accreditation based on their current LGBT+ inclusion work, as part of the national NHS Rainbow Badge Scheme.
Diversity and inclusion lead at UHD, Debbie Robinson, said: “Inclusivity is one of our core values at UHD and we want to ensure we honour this for all of our patients, colleagues and visitors.
“We would like as many of our patients and service users as possible, whether they are part of the LGBT+ community or not, to complete this survey. The feedback will be essential in supporting our work to reduce the barriers to healthcare that are faced by the LGBT+ community.”
You do not have to be LGBT+ to complete the survey. Click here to respond or visit www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/Q7QBSM/
