Wimborne Town took to the road last week, winning at Guildford City, but suffering defeat at Clevedon Town.
The 3-0 midweek victory at Guildford was the Magpies’ first three-point haul away from home since late December. Mark Gamble and Jamie Davidson, and Matt Kemble – just on as a second half substitute – grabbed the crucial goals.
Gamble was on target again on Saturday as he equalised at Clevedon. But Wimborne lost 3-1, their first defeat in five-games, Crucially, Gamble sustained a groin injury which in a worse-case scenario could see the club’s top-scorer out for the rest of the campaign.
On Tuesday (18 March) the Magpies play their third away game in a row when they visit Didcot Town.
This coming Saturday (22 March) Wimborne return to Cuthbury to host Taunton Town, kick off 3pm.
Then the following Tuesday (25 March) they take to the road for an encounter with Yate Town.
