Jane Devonshire, MasterChef winner comes to Dorsetshire from Hampshire

The winner of BBC MasterChef 2016 Jane Devonshire is to showcase her skills at Taste of the South on Friday 19 May at 4pm.
The MasterChef winner of 2016, Jane Devonshire, has confirmed that she will be will be showcasing the culinary flair that won her first place at last year’s MasterChef when she cooks live at the Taste of the South demonstration kitchen.
Jane has served up dishes alongside world-renowned chefs Marcus Wareing, Atol Kochhar, Jason Atherton, Michel Roux and Michael O’Hare, working at their restaurants. Now Jane will be demonstrating her skills in Poole Park and giving MasterChef top tips that could make others culinary stars when she joins the variety of South coast chefs in the Demonstration Kitchen of Taste of the South on Friday 19 May at 4pm.
Jane Devonshire says, “I am absolutely delighted to be at the first ever Taste of the South festival, which is running in association with the European Maritime Conference and Poole Maritime Festival. I will be on-hand to answer questions from Alex Aitken, present my recipes and chat about food.
“I love cooking at live demonstrations; the audience engagement creates such a buzz and it is great to meet everyone too. I’m also very much looking forward to checking out the show and browsing the various products from the South’s finest producers and artisans, as well as working alongside local chefs and other businesses.”
Taste of the South Festival takes place from 19-21 May in Poole Park and will see producers of food, drink, art, artisan products and more from all across the South of England showcase their talents across the free three-day festival.
Jane continues, “We moved to Hampshire 14 years ago and we really love it. We have made it our home. I am very passionate about supporting local produce and producers. I also play an active role with Hampshire Fare, which promotes local suppliers and producers actively across the south.”
After winning Series 12 of MasterChef UK, Jane is currently working on her cookbook, which will comprise a variety of ‘no-hassle’, everyday, gluten-free recipes.
Jane Devonshire will be cooking alongside some of the most respected chefs of the South including Alex Aitken of The Jetty Christchurch; Pete Murt, head chef at Rick Stein in Sandbanks; Barbara Cox author of Rainbow Recipes; award-winning Mark Hartstone, Seth Le Noury, and national Indian food expert Sarah Ali Choudhury.
