Jazz by the Sea Festival returns to Bournemouth and Poole
Jazz by the Sea Festival will return to Bournemouth and Poole, bringing two whole weeks of jazz, from 24 June to 8 July.

Supported by the Bournemouth Coastal Bid, this year’s Jazz by the Sea Festival kicks off with a Gin ‘n Jazz cruise around Poole Harbour on 24 June, aboard The Dorset Queen featuring music from local “Nu Jazz” band The Revolution Club and a Trad Jazz cruise with Tony Waller’s Prohibition Jazz Band setting sail on Sunday 1 July.
Throughout the fortnight there will be live jazz events and this year the festival will be collaborating with the Metropole Street Market in Bournemouth on 24 June, with a programme of New Orleans style jazz, featuring local band, Scared of Jazz.
On 4 July there will be a screening of Hollywood jazz movie, ‘Whiplash’ at Koh Lounge, in collaboration with the Purbeck Film Festival.
Venues hosting jazz events include: Chaplin’s Bar, Dean Park Inn, Inn in the Park, Mirimar Hotel, Brewhouse & Kitchen Poole Hill and Southbourne, Urban Beach Hotel, Cosy Club, Blue Boar Poole, St Peter’s Church, Cottonwood Hotel, Vesuvio Alum Chine, Flirt Café, Shelley Theatre, Urban Reef, Marsham Court Hotel, Koh Lounge, Jenkins & Sons, Cumberland Hotel, Bournemouth Band Stand and Key West Bar.
