The voluntary team on the Ferndown in Bloom Committee are inviting residents who would like to help steer, support, promote, and possibly even judge the 2015 competition to attend the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 12 February. The meeting will be held in the Cedar Room at the Haskins Garden Centre restaurant at 4pm.
Cllr Jean Read, who has chaired the committee for three years, said that the AGM is the best time to meet the existing committee members and possibly join the team as it is the start of the competition planning stage when new ideas and themes can be considered.
“It’s an exciting time of year to join the team and new people are most welcome to join us,” said Jean Read. “We are always open to new ideas to help make our town more attractive and continue the success of the popular competition with the support of Haskins.”
