Junior Safety Inspector virtual SafeWise tour and quiz
Calling families with children aged 4-10 years old – you can explore SafeWise’s learning village and complete a quiz as part of a new virtual Junior Safety Inspector tour this summer.
After completing the tour children can download a certificate and discover bonus material with extra activities and loads more fun things to do, all based on the tour.
As well as essential topics around safety and skills for life, the tour also includes messages around staying safe and well during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The tour is free to enjoy and replaces the family tours SafeWise normally hosts in its bricks and mortar learning centres during the summer school holidays each August, but is currently unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The tour can be found at www.safewise.org/family-tour and has been made possible thanks to generous grant funding by Talbot Village Trust.
SafeWise Chief Executive Rob Hattersley said, “Our new virtual Junior Safety Inspector Tour is a great way for families to spend some quality time together this summer and pick up essential skills and know-how for everyday life.
“The new tour is very much our first project as part of a move into digital resources to complement our existing offer for schools and other audiences in the future, so we would love for people to try it out and give us lots of feedback.
“I would like to thank Talbot Village Trust for their generous grant, and, indeed, all our funding partners and corporate sponsors for their valuable support at this time when times are very tough all around,” added Rob.
Russell Lucas-Rowe, Trustee at Talbot Village Trust, commented: “It is great that SafeWise has been able to adapt its offering to continue providing educational services to children throughout the pandemic. At Talbot Village Trust, we are proud to be supporting such a worthwhile organisation.”
The village uses 360 photography with videos, safety alerts and games alongside a quiz developed on SafeWise’s website with Bournemouth-based web agency Digital Storm.
SafeWise is a registered charity and is supported by police, fire and health services as well as local councils and corporate sponsors.
