Get your whisks whirring, your conkers swinging and your prize pumpkins picked, as this year Kingston Lacy is hosting a Harvest festival to be celebrated in all its British Glory and Spirit!
Many fabulous stalls including countryside crafts, plant and food stalls, amongst which will be Sunny Republic and the Lulworth Skipper, where there will be the opportunity to sample and buy their exclusive and delectable beers and ciders. There will also be the chance to have your own apples identified and pressed – just bring them along and reap the rewards of your harvest.
Do you yearn for the chance to show off your skill as conker champion? Why not bring along your finest conkers to enter this entertaining competition and become the Kingston Lacy Conker Conqueror 2013.
For the foodies out there, there will be an opportunity to show off your mouth-watering and delicious, nut-free Dorset apple cakes, which will be judged by the acclaimed Lucy Young – co-author of Mary Berry’s latest cookbook ‘At Home’.
Ever wondered if your prize pumpkin is really the biggest in Dorset? Bring it along and find out at the inaugural Kingston Lacy Pumpkin Competition.
Bring all competition entries by 1pm (each entry will cost £1 with all proceeds going to the Community Growing Spaces project).
And that’s not all: there will be plenty of activities for the children to take part in too, including a children’s zone with plenty of craft activities to keep them happy for hours.
Standard entry price applies but Kingston Lacy is offering free entry to the grounds between 10.30am-11.30am.
