Knoll Gardens, near Wimborne in Dorset has announced its event programme for 2016.
From plant fairs to willow weaving, wildlife walks to pottery talks and herbal medicine workshops to Knoll’s ever-popular grass masterclasses, all the events are very much garden-based and take place right through to November 2016.
Spring events include a mini-masterclass on preparing grasses for stunning summer effect on 12 March; a specialist plant fair on 23 April; a willow basket workshop on 28 May and a free admission day for all volunteers in celebration of National Volunteers Week on 3 June.
Knoll Gardens’ owner Neil Lucas said, ”This year’s event programme brings even more local experts and craftspeople to the garden. We are delighted to welcome them and hope their presence will encourage more people to visit us and find out about the many benefits of our naturalistic gardening style.”
Planted with thousands of grasses and flowering perennials Knoll Gardens is also home to an impressive collection of rare and unusual trees and shrubs. An enjoyable visit simply as a place of rest and relaxation, it also offers a working example of a beautiful year-round garden, providing a flourishing environment for plants and a welcoming habitat for wildlife.
Knoll Gardens and its award-winning nursery opens Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm.
