Colin Brickell, plant buyer for the Haskins Garden Centres certainly does, as every Christmas he purchases over 5,000 real Christmas trees for the four centres owned by the group, including Longham, Ferndown.
This year the trees selected will be the high quality Nordman and Noble varieties that have benefited from good growing conditions this year.
Colin Brickell says that both are a non needle drop variety with very little difference, including the competitive price.“We have managed to source our supply of Nordmans from a sustainable grower in Ireland.
The trees will be very fresh as they are for sale within just 3 days of harvesting,” said Colin, who travelled to Wexford in Ireland in October to inspect the crop.
“Our labels will give information on how to keep the trees in good condition over the festive period and horticultural team has been given top up training to give best advice.”
