Wimborne Town returned to winning ways last Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Calor League Division One South & West leaders Merthyr Town at Cuthbury.
Lady Luck smiled on the Magpies as Jason Harvell saved a first half penalty, but Wimborne dominated much of this hard fought encounter.
All the goals came in the second half as Mark Gamble opened the scoring and Sam Griffin netted the winner, both thrilling goals.
There was even more good news for the Magpies as after the game it was announced Jamie Davidson had agreed an extension to his contract which keeps him at Cuthbury until the summer of 2015.
Wimborne are back on home soil on Tuesday night (25 February) when they host Swindon Supermarine, kick off 7:45pm.
This coming Saturday they take the trip to high-flying Mangotsfield United; then take to the road again the following Tuesday (4 March) to face Tiverton Town.
