The Larmer Tree Festival returns this summer to celebrate its 25th festival (15-19 July) with what promises to be its most exciting year yet.
This year’s line up includes some returning stars, with Sir Tom Jones once again topping the bill and opening the festival on Wednesday 15 July. He will be followed on Thursday by Levellers, dynamic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela on Friday, Femi Kuti on Saturday and Jimmy Cliff on Sunday. The final headline act, is Bill Bailey who will take to the Main Stage on Sunday 19 July to share his unique show ‘Bill Bailey Live’ a blend of music and comedy.
Director Julia Safe says: “Bill Bailey has always been top of my wish list ever since I started the comedy thread at Larmer Tree Festival in 2009. Every year something always seemed to get in the way so you can imagine my absolute unbounded delight when finally he agreed to perform at our 25th festival.”
With six unique stages spread across the festival site, festival-goers can immerse themselves in a variety of music with well established artists playing alongside emerging talent.
Founded by Festival Director James Shepard in the summer of 1990, a quarter of a century ago, with an audience of just 100 people and 12 hours of music, 25 years on, Larmer Tree Festival attracts up to 5,000 people a day.
