A display showing the stories of the First World War heroes recorded on Ferndown Roll of Honour can be seen in the town’s library.
As part of the WWI commemorations, Ian Dale of Ferndown Royal British Legion has carried out five months of research into their personal backgrounds, military records and the regiment and unit in which they served.
The information has been mounted as a mobile display and is now available to local schools, churches, care-homes, community and youth groups and anyone wanting to know more about those who fell in the conflict.
It is hoped to publish the project as a lasting legacy to those who gave their lives.
