A group of Year 8 pupils from Allenbourn Middle School recently spent several days at Leeson House near Swanage, as part of a geography and history trip. Despite mud and hail, everyone had a wonderful time, and activities included visiting Swanworth Quarry and Corfe Castle, Night Orienteering and GPS Blind Drop.
This was particularly competitive, with groups of children being dropped off several miles from base, and having to find their way home using a GPS device and a map. Some students remained in school during the week, visiting the Priest’s House Museum, walking the coastline and making clay pots and figures.
