Leisure organisations urged to apply for grants from Dorset Council
Cultural, sporting and community organisations can now apply for money from Dorset Council’s Leisure Development Fund.
The grants will be able to support local projects once the COVID-19 outbreak is over.
Cllr Tony Alford, Dorset Council Portfolio Holder for Customer, Community and Regulatory Services, said, “We hope to see many applications for these grants. There are grants available for up to £5,000. We know that this can significantly impact one-off or capital projects. Community groups and not-for-profit organisations can apply.
“We appreciate that the current COVID-19 outbreak has put many projects on hold. We still have the funds available to support these projects for when the outbreak is over and we can all return to normal life.”
The closing date for applications is 15 May.
To apply online see the Dorset Council website or call 01305 252250.
