At what has now become an annual tradition, Bournemouth East Cliff Rotary club hosted five local charities at one of their regular dinner meeting at the West Hants Tennis Club. The past president of the Rotary Club, Alan Turle, on behalf the club, was very pleased to present cheques to each of the charities he had adopted as his charities for his presidential year,
From the total raised of £4500 the donations made to the local charities included Julia’s House, who received a cheque for £1150; Bournemouth Food Bank, £1150; Bournemouth Blind Society, £1150; CRUSE, £575, and SUDEP £575.
The club sets out to raise funds for local charities on an annual basis, with the forthcoming Easter Quarter Marathon on 26 March 11 AM at Boscombe Pier, being the major fundraising activity.
