Members of Christchurch and Ringwood Rock Choir have combined to perform a special Rock Choir Concert on Friday 11 July to support local charity, Lewis-Manning Hospice.
The show takes place from 7.30pm at the De La Salle Theatre, St Peter’s School in Southbourne, and promises to be a summer’s evening of hits spanning the decades. There will also be a raffle, as well as refreshments.
Rock Choir was originally started by musician Caroline Redman Lusher in 2005, who pioneered the no audition and no need to read music approach, and now people all over the UK are enjoying its mix of fun, friendship and community spirit.
Rock Choir gives members the opportunity to sing in fantastic locations including Wembley Arena, The O2 and Wembley Stadium, as well as local theatres to help raise money for charities.
The local Christchurch and Ringwood choir is run by singing teacher Natasha Willis and they support a number of local charities, raising money and awareness around Dorset and Hampshire with flash mobs, fundraising events and concerts. The choir will be performing a wide selection of songs for all tastes from artists including Olly Murs and Bruno Mars to Bon Jovi and Michael Jackson.
Tickets are £5 each and available from Lewis-Manning on 01202 701000.
