Local collectors will be chuffed with this lot of model trains

A collection of model trains, assembled by a man in Bridport over many years, is to be sold at auction in Crewkerne on 12 May 2017.
A collectors’ auction in May will include a large quantity of boxed locomotives and rolling stock. It was brought together by a Bridport man over many years. The makers include Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol, Heljan and others, with many in almost untouched condition.
For local collectors there is also a Hornby ‘Weymouth’ locomotive, in its original box.
Auctioneer of Lawrences of Crewkerne, Simon Jones, said, “This is a lovely group for collectors and should attract a great deal of interest from enthusiasts. Trains continue to be extremely popular in auction and our collectors’ sales are very popular with buyers.”
The trains will be included in Lawrences’ May Collectors’ and Militaria Sale on Friday 12 May. Estimates range from £50-150.
