Oceanarium, the Bournemouth Aquarium is offering locals the opportunity to take a journey around the waters of the world… right on their doorstep. Local residents can meet their aquatic neighbours including rare sea turtles, colourful clownfish, a cheeky otter family, snappy dwarf crocs and the latest additions to the Oceanarium family, a colony of penguins for just half the price from today, 25 February, for the next four weeks.
The seafront aquarium has expanded its premises to create the new Penguin Beach Encounter. Samantha Jux-Holderness, Assistant Marketing & PR Manager said the Oceanarium has invested £1.6 million on the expansion project and the two storey extension which not only features the open-aired penguin enclosure but amazing jellyfish, a first story, sea view cafe terrace and a new kids’ play zone.
She added, “Up to four visitors can take advantage of the half price offer per proof of postcode, so you can also bring friends or family to meet the penguins and experience the hundreds of other beautiful creatures we have with you.”
The popular half price discount month offers locals living in postcode areas BH, DT, SO and SP the opportunity to take advantage of 50 per cent off the standard full admission price from 25 February until 24 March 2016 and is valid for up to 4 people per postcode ID. Visitors must present proof of their BH, DT, SO or SP postcode (eg driving licence or utility bill) and in return will receive up to four half price admissions. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, membership, internet or family ticket.
