Lush cosmetics have recently decided to support Diverse Abilities in their home refurbishing camping, donating money to the charity organisation that aims to help disabled people and their families.
As part of the support, Lush donated £1,575 through a staff sale of products and a personal donation from Kim Coles, Finance Director of Lush Retail.
In addition, Lush has sponsored two of the four new bedrooms in the overnight suite of the new respite home. The design team at Lush will be working with Diverse Abilities to create a Dorset landscape scene, including the historic heathland and coastline. Volunteers from the company will be decorating it later this month.
Kim Coles says, “It is lovely to be one of the sponsors for this amazing project, which we know will bring support and respite to many families and individuals that need help with some serious challenges in their lives. It is great to be a small part of something that we know will help make the environment and surroundings at the respite home as kind and caring as the staff working there; and as beautiful and reassuring as possible for the children staying there.”
Vikki Slade, capital appeals manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “We are really grateful to Lush and Kim for their support. With only two remaining bedrooms to sponsor, we hope that other local companies or individuals will come forward and sponsor them. Please do get in touch and be part of this amazing project, providing more support to children and their families in Dorset.”
