Wimborne Town are hoping for the return of experienced midfielder Kevin Gill in time for the Easter Bank Holiday programme. The 29-year-old had been out of action for five weeks after damaging a knee in training. But he enjoyed a successful run out with the Reserves at the weekend, scoring in the 5-2 victory over Bemerton Heath Harlequins Reserves at Cuthbury.
The Magpies have a heavy Easter programme, visiting Cinderford Town on Saturday and then hosting Winchester City 48-hours later on Easter Monday at Cuthbury. Both games kick off at 3pm.
“Kevin picked up a nasty knee injury and suffered a bit of ligament damage,” said Wimborne boss Steve Cuss.
“We have a busy weekend coming up and it will be a boost for us if he is fit for both games.”
