Officers in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a malicious fire in Wallisdown on Wednesday, 17 April.
Dorset Police received a call about a vehicle on fire along Bascott Road at 2.15am. Officers attended and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze. Nobody was injured.
North Bournemouth Neighbourhood Inspector Mike Claxton said: “The fire is being treated as suspicious, and we have begun a full investigation into the circumstances.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has seen someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to come forward.
“Those responsible may have sustained burns to their clothing or themselves and I urge anyone with information about the offender or offenders to contact Dorset Police in confidence.”
